This warm and friendly 17th century Freehouse is to the north side of Norwich cathedral. Famous for its homemade pies and fresh fish, a highly accredited selection of real ales can be consumed in front of a log fire in winter or the south-facing plaza on summer days and evening.

The comprehensive lunchtime menu is very popular with local businesses and tourists, so booking is highly advisable Monday to Friday (service 12.00 to 3.00pm)

The weekend and evening menu is served all day Fridays and Saturdays, a combination of modern and traditional dishes, freshly prepared by the head chef Eric Maidment . Sunday roasts are another popular addition to this menu and are now served to 4.00pm.

Listed in CAMRA’s ‘Good Beer Guide’ for the 20th successive year and Cask Marque approved for its selection of six cask ales. A carefully selected wine list offering wine by the glass or bottle. So even if you are not hungry it’s still worth a visit!
